Bright Stars Preschool Project

Our current project addresses Sustainable Development Goal no.4.2 “By 2030, ensure that all girls and boys have access to quality early childhood development, care and pre-primary education so that they are ready for primary education.”
Problem: lack of preschool provision for the children of this community because the nearest Early Childhood Development Centre (preschool) is too far away and across a river too deep for unders 5s to cross
Project initiated by: community leaders
Current situation: a temporary iron sheet structure has been built by the community to protect the chidren from the rain
Aim: to provide easily accessible early education and nutrition for preschool children
Our project objective: construct a 2 classroom preschool to replace the temporary structure currently being used, for initially approximately 50 children.
